Randy Rasmussen Obituary

RANDY RASMUSSEN 04/29/1960 - 05/11/2025 Our beloved brother, son, and Uncle Randy Carl Rasmussen, 65, passed away on Mother's Day, Sunday, May 11th, 2025, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Elsinore, Utah on May 8th. Randy Carl Rasmussen was born in Apple Valley, California on April 29, 1960, to Carl Andrew Rasmussen and (Jenifer) Dawn Sorensen Rasmussen, he was the first boy in a family of three girls. His father was very proud of him. The Victorville Daily Press published an article, "Rasmussen's new son!" Randy lived his life in the west, with homes in California, Utah, Arizona, Colorado, and Wyoming. He served in the United States Army in Missouri and Germany. Randy had a kind and gentle spirit and saw beauty in everything. He was polite, creative and helpful. He loved people and all living things, especially his dogs. He loved finding shapes in rocks and running with his dogs in the river. He loved his family, cleaning up the environment, and burning weeds. Some people were reluctant to meet him due to his 6-foot 10 stature, but family and friends knew him as a gentle giant. When he was young, he was fascinated with science, nature, and birds and wanted to be an ornithologist. His career took him instead to work in construction, diesel mechanics, and working on oil drilling rigs. He will leave a void in our hearts and in our community. He will be missed by his mother Jenifer Dawn Sorensen Rasmussen Banz (Springville), siblings Kjirstin (Eric Youngberg, Mapleton), Jill Rasmussen (Brigham City), Kimberli Hansen (Elsinore) and Tracy Rasmussen (Richfield). He also leaves his nieces and nephews-Rachel, David, Matthew, Jordan, Jaime, Jared, Chad, Danielle, Brianna, and Brittany, 25 great nieces and nephews, and 5 great grand nieces and nephews. On the other side, he will be renewing his acquaintances with his father Carl, stepfather Sam, grandparents Elick, Margret, Veda, Andrew, Bessie and Stella. And especially, his nephew Benjamin, great nephew Cason and great niece Breeleigh Ann. A celebration of life will be held in Monrovian Park on Saturday, May 31st at 2 pm. We invite friends and family to join in the celebration and the good he did in the world. He will be laid to rest with many family members gone before him in Brigham City. Go in Peace Randy. Rest in Peace.

Randy was a kind and caring person and my friend and neighbor,he used to come over and help me and my son get rid of weeds in our yard. We went to lunch a couple times and grocery shopping since he had no way to get there we would give him a ride he always tried to give me gas money but I would not take it I told him he helped me with my yard that was payment enough. He was a really good friend and we will miss him. Our condolences to you his family. Michele and son Robert Reboulet.
