Randy Reiche, 55, of Wausau, passed away on December 9, 2024. He was born on October 7, 1969, in Rochester, MN, to the late James and Marion (Nyland) Reiche.

A graduate of Wausau East High School in 1987, Randy excelled on the field, playing football as a running back and baseball as a shortstop. His athleticism carried into adulthood, where he enjoyed softball and golf. He shared his love for sports as a coach for his children’s soccer and baseball teams. His children being his greatest pride and joy.

Randy’s life was a testament to hard work and service. As a skilled pipe fitter, he prided himself on his work ethic and ability to create with his hands. He started working for the union in 1996. His hard work was recognized and valued by those he worked with.

Randy’s love for life was infectious. He enjoyed to dance, cook, and cheer for the Green Bay Packers with passion. His family will fondly remember the Scooby-Doo stories he told, board games he played to win, and his unparalleled knack for bringing joy to everyday moments. As well as the countless times he took them fishing “up-north”.

A caregiver at heart, Randy’s journey of nurturing others began early as he cared for his mother. This selflessness carried through as he supported his siblings, raised his children, and cherished his role as a grandfather—a title that brought him immense happiness and pride. Randy also found fulfillment in mentoring youth as a confirmation leader at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.

Randy’s legacy is one of kindness, resilience, and deep love for his family. He is survived by his children, Rylee (Andrew) Dehnel, and Will Reiche; granddaughter Evelyn Dehnel; siblings, Debbie (Darrell) Wehrman, Sheree (Ken) Schnoor, Cindy (Tim) Palmer, Scott Waldinger, and Fritz Reiche; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. His presence will be dearly missed, but the memories he created will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at Brainard Funeral Home in Wausau. A visitation will start at 12:00 PM until the time of services at the funeral home.
