Randy Eugene Spencer

Randy Eugene Spencer, age 68, died at his home in Elizabeth City, NC, on October 20, 2025. Born in Norfolk, VA, on August 18, 1957, to the late William Kenny Spencer, Sr. and Lillian Sawyer Davis, he was a carpenter by trade and worked in construction. Beyond his work, Randy loved to enjoy life to the fullest. He had a special fondness for the water, relishing the time he spent fishing and gathering with friends and family. His zest for good times and laughter was infectious, and he brought joy and laughter to every occasion.
Randy leaves behind a loving family and a host of friends who will forever cherish his memory. Surviving are his two sons, Randy Eugene Spencer, Jr. and Joshua Cole Spencer and his wife, Katie; his partner, Cynthia Edwards; her son, Derrick Edwards; his sister, Kathy Appleby; his brother, William "Kenny" Spencer, Jr.; and his adoring grandchildren, Rachel Welsh, Baylee Spencer, Waylon Spencer, Willem Spencer, and Kennly Spencer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, William "Kenny" Spencer.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 24, 2025, at Twiford Memorial Chapel with Chaplain Kevin Reiver officiating.
Randy's legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed, yet fondly remembered for the warmth and happiness he brought into the lives of others.
