Ray Nolen Ballentine, 74, of Morehead City, North Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at the Crystal Coast Hospice House.
Born on February 8, 1951, in Montgomery, Alabama, Ray was the beloved son of the late William and Rosa Ballentine. He was a member of First Baptist church of Morehead City and was known for his dedicated work ethic through his painting business.
Ray loved living on the coast where he enjoyed spending time outside with fishing being his favorite pastime. He enjoyed the grit of a good Western and always appreciated listening to the rhythm of his favorite songs.
Those remaining to cherish his memory are his sister, Sandra Carey of Athens, GA; niece, Susie Pharr; and nephew, Judd Ballentine and wife Alicia of TN.
In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his brother, Danny Ballentine.
