Ray G. Wilson, age 83, of Conneaut, passed away on Friday, November 7, 2025, at his residence.
Ray was born August 11, 1942 in Youngstown, Ohio, the son of Glenn E. Wilson and Margaret A. McNally Wilson. Ray graduated from Ursuline High School in 1960 and later joined the United States Navy in August of 1960. He was honorably discharged in 1963 and was very proud to serve again in the reserves until 1966.
During high school he worked at Idora Park in Youngstown and had many fond memories of that time. He also worked for Wean United from 1963 to 1985 until he retired. In retirement he worked at the Youngstown Water Department.
Ray married the love of his life, Sandra L (Kusic) Wilson, on September 25, 1969, and in retirement they moved to Conneaut, to live on and enjoy the lakefront. They enjoyed the life in Conneaut and Ray loved to garden and spend time in his workshop. His tomatoes were always the best.
Ray and Sandy had a strong and abiding love, that never ended. They are together again, with the angels in Heaven.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Sandra Wison, who died December 15, 2024 and a sister Deborah J. Wilson.
Ray is survived by his sisters Susan (Art) LaFountain of Medina, Ohio, Christine (Frank) Centofanti of Boardman, niece Marissa (Dylan) Burkardt and nephew Michael (Stephanie) Centofanti and grandnephews Lucas and Logan Centofanti.
The family would like to express a special thank you to Patty Durkin for her care and friendship.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at St. Frances Cabrini Church, 744 Mill Street, Conneaut with Fr. Philp Miller officiating.
Military Honors will conclude services following Mass. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family at Calvary Cemetery, Youngstown, Ohio.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project in Memory of Ray Wilson.
