Pawtucket – Raymond H. Bechard, 81, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, May 4, 2022. He was the beloved husband of the late JoAnn M. (Papa) Bechard. A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Laurent P. and Yvonne M. (Marcil) Bechard.
Ray was a United States Navy veteran and worked for many years at Teknor Apex until his retirement. He was an avid football fan and enjoyed watching the Little League World Series each year. Ray was also a talented woodworker and loved building things. In addition to his woodworking skills, he enjoyed playing video games, especially World of Warships. He will be lovingly remembered by all whose lives he has touched over the past eighty-one years.
Ray leaves a daughter, Nicole M. Bechard of Pawtucket, and a nephew, Matthew Buteau. He was the brother of the late Janet Buteau and Richard Bechard.
Relatives and friends are welcome to attend visitation beginning at 9 a.m. on Tuesday followed by Funeral Services at 11 a.m. at WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery. If desired, memorial gifts to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241 would be appreciated.
