Raymond J. Bollart Jr., 87, of Hadley, New York and formerly of Clizbe Ave, Amsterdam, passed away Saturday, October 11, 2025 at Saratoga Hospital in Saratoga Springs with his family at his side.

Born in Amsterdam, on July 4th, 1938, a son of the late Raymond J. and Sadie Paris Bollart Sr. He was a lifelong area resident and was a 1956 graduate of the former Wilbur H. Lynch High School in Amsterdam and served for a time in the Air National Guard.

Ray was employed as a Machinist for over 30 years by GE in Schenectady and retired in 1996. His life with his family for many years was on Clizbe Ave in Amsterdam where he made many lifelong friends. He enjoyed many good years there with his family, neighbors and friends.

He married Patricia Kronk Bollart on February 27, 1960. In addition to his beloved wife of 65 years, he is survived by his two loving children, Mary Beth (Greg) Hendry of Flower Mound, TX and Raymond "Sonny" Bollart of Saratoga Springs, NY. Seven cherished grandchildren, Madison T. Bollart, Macy J. Bollart, Tess Hendry, Bridget Hendry, Luke Hendry, Elizabeth "Beth" Hendry and Sarah Hendry. Cousins and many friends also survive.

He was predeceased by his dear aunts, Clara and Joan Brisky.

He was a communicant of the Holy Mother and Child Parish in Corinth, NY.

Ray enjoyed being on the Great Sacandaga Lake. He spent his time boating, fishing, hunting and snowmobiling. He and his wife traveled countless trails and areas around the lake throughout the years. Teaching water skiing and water sports also were a big part of his summers on the lake. His time spent at the lake was made more special over the years on the fourth of July when family and friends would come to the lake and enjoy the scenery, yard games and deck parties and enjoy an occasional cold one with him. His greatest joy was seeing his grandchildren enjoying the lake. Ray wasn't much of a traveler, but he did enjoy his occasional trips to Vegas with his family and was fortunate enough to go on his dream trip, an Alaskan Cruise with his wife and close friends Vince and Linda Bialobok.

Ray was an avid supporter and fan of the NY Yankees over the years. He was a sports fan and was a spectator of his children and grandchildren's sport's activities which included baseball, softball, football, hockey and in their later years adult softball.

Funeral services and burial are private and will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Rose & Hughes Funeral Home, 200 Church St., Amsterdam, NY, 12010. Please visit Raymond's tribute at www.roseandhughesfh.com
