Raymond Joseph Carine (Ray), age 70, of Fleming Island, FL, passed away on March 31, 2025.
Ray, son of Raymond Carine Sr. and Ann Spinelli was born on October 3, 1954 in Plainview, NY. He graduated from High School in 1973 and worked for Bell South and AT&T from 1973 to 2016.
He is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Marian Carine; his children Michael Carine (Heather Carine), Kevin Carine (Miriam Carine), Christine Nichols and Joseph Carmichael (Christin Carmichael); his grandchildren Carmela Carine, Ethan Nichols, Colton Carine, Cassidy Carine, Isabella Lombardozzi, McKenzie Carmichael, and Sofia Lombardozzi. He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings Marianne Hoerner, Joseph Carine, and his first wife, Sonja Carine.
Ray was a dedicated father and grandfather. He was a role model at his job of 43 years, mentoring countless new facility technicians for AT&T. Ray was an excellent father and husband whose loyalty and commitment were unmatched. Ray's integrity and humility were some of his best character traits. Ray was a simple man that showed you his compassion by his actions and not always his words. Perhaps one of Ray's greatest attributes was his strong work ethic and stoic demeanor; Ray never quit on anything or anyone.
A celebration of Ray's life will be held at Jacksonville Memory Gardens on Friday, April 4, at 2:00 pm. Visitation will be held from 1:00pm-2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association.
Ray will be remembered as a contributor, mentor, and friend to all that knew him. Sadly, he will be missed by many friends, colleagues and family. The hope we have for Ray is his trust in Jesus Christ and belief in eternal life.
