Raymond Gardecki Obituary
A Resident of Schaumburg
Memorial visitation for Raymond D. Gardecki, 78, will be Thursday, January 25 from 10:00am – 12:00 noon, with a Celebration of Life Service beginning at 11:15am at Michaels Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 800 S. Roselle Road, Schaumburg. Inurnment to follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood.
Raymond was born January 24, 1945 in Chicago, and he peacefully passed away December 23, 2023 in Schaumburg.
He married the love of his life Jean on May 27, 1967, and they spent 55 beautiful years together. They lived in Chicago, then moved to Arizona for some time before coming back to Hanover Park and Schaumburg, Illinois. Jean and Raymond will be interred together at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
Raymond was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed building models and his passion was to protect the people, as a Chicago police officer and as a security guard in Arizona.
Loving brother to Julianne DuMelle; beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews; dear neighbor and friend to many. He will be missed by all those whose lives he touched.
