Raymond Allen Johns, Jr. of San Antonio, TX, passed away peacefully on March 25th, 2023. He was surrounded by the warmth and love of his family. He is survived by his mother, Aurora Aceves, and his daughter, Ryann Drysdale. Raymond fought a long and hard battle against cancer, yet he never let his illness stunt his positivity. Regardless of how he felt, he was always more concerned with the happiness of those around him. He could always see the good in people and gave so much of himself to others. He was a devoted son and the most loving father. In addition to his mother, Aurora Aceves, and his daughter, Ryann Drysdale, Raymond is survived by his brother and sister, Larry Ochoa and Laura Dominguez, his nieces, Serena Aceves and Stephanie Zuniga, and his great nieces and nephews, Joseph Aceves, Felicity Leal, Lauren Pineda, Georgie Leal, and Amadeus Leal. He was proceeded in passing by his stepfather, Joe Aceves.
Raymond was truly a master of all trades. He would never shy away from a task, and nothing made him more excited than a new challenge. Whether it was laying tile, a project fixing up the house, or even coaching a soccer team: he always found a way to do it and how to do it well. He had an immense love for the outdoors and would spend all day outside if you let him. Raymond found beauty in even the littlest of things and enjoyed collecting items such as lighters, coins, and radios. He loved cheering on the Spurs, Red Sox, and Longhorns. Above all else, Raymond's favorite thing to do was spending time with friends and family. His company was always a joy for everyone around and all the wonderful memories he created will remain in our hearts forever.
