NORTHBOROUGH
Raymond A. Kingman, 83, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2023, after a period of declining health. Born and raised in Salem, Massachusetts to Arthur and Irene (Pelletier) Kingman, Raymond studied at Merrimack College where he earned a BS in Business Administration and met his future wife Frances A. (Mele). After graduation, Raymond enlisted in the US Army where he honorably served his country during the Vietnam War. Upon his return, he continued to serve as a Sergeant within the U.S. Army 76th ORC Reserve Unit while residing in Connecticut.
In 1969 Raymond relocated his family to Massachusetts and worked for the former Paul Revere Insurance Company in Worcester for 29 years. After retiring in 1998 he continued to work as a consultant for Boston area insurance companies for several more years. Raymond was a passionate philatelist who relished the hunt for rare and collectable stamps. He supported Troop 1 of the Boy Scouts in Northborough and was an avid gardener. Additionally, he dedicated his time to the Northborough/Southborough Music Association as a volunteer and supporter.
Raymond is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Frances A. Kingman of Northborough; a son, Matthew R. Kingman of Boston; two daughters, Kimberly R. Mullen and her husband Christopher of Shrewsbury, and Sarah E. Richardson of Northborough; three grandchildren, Cameron J Mullen of Conway, SC, Zachary M. Provencal of Northborough, Claire E. Mullen of Shrewsbury and one sister, Gail A. Hall and her husband Gerard of Lynn.
A gathering to remember and celebrate Raymond's life will take place at 11 AM on Wednesday, March 15, at Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main Street, Northborough.
Raymond's family wishes to thank the staff at Whitney Place and Beaumont of Northborough for their compassion and care for Raymond during his last year. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Raymond's name to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org.
