Raymond Lapierre Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Boucher Funeral Home on Dec. 9, 2025.
Raymond H. "Pete" Lapierre, 94, a lifelong resident of Burrillville, passed away peacefully at the R.I. Veterans Home on December 6, 2025. He was the husband of the late Evelyn Eva (Menard) Lapierre, and the late Claire S. (Rouleau) Carrier. Born in Oakland, he was the son of the late Olivier and Emma (Duguay) Lapierre.
Pete worked for the former Liquid Carbonic Company located in Slatersville, R.I. and retired after 25 years of dedicated service in 1996. He was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Good Help Catholic Church in Mapleville; was a member of the Knights of Columbus of Pascoag; in his younger years, was a member of the Oakland-Mapleville Fire Department; and a member of the Tri Town Golf League for 20 years. He was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1952 during the Korean War and served proudly and honorably. He enjoyed golfing and playing horseshoes with his brothers, brothers-in-law, and nephews, and loved spending time with his family. Summertime parties at the lake in Ponaganset and Lapierre and Menard family picnics were special to him.
Pete is survived by his three children: Michelle Lee and her husband Gary of Mapleville, Sheila Stodolski and her husband Bob of Auburn, MA, and Kenneth Lapierre and his wife Kevynn of Hendersonville, NC. Pete also has five grandchildren (Gary Jr., Kayla, Brianne, Douglas, and Cameron) and three great grandchildren (Alice, Everett, and June). He was predeceased by his brothers: Armand, Ernest, Rene, Leo, Lucien, and Albert Lapierre, and sisters: Florence Cahill and Irene Proulx.
Funeral services for Pete will be held Saturday December 13, 2025 from the Boucher Funeral Home, 272 Sayles Ave. Pascoag, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM in Our Lady of Good Help Church, 1063 Victory Hwy, Mapleville. Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Emerson Rd., Harrisville. Calling hours will be from 9AM to 10:30 AM prior to the funeral Mass at the Boucher Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to: Between the Cracks, PO Box 468, Harrisville, RI 02830.
