Raymond J. "Dude" Larson Jr.

Raymond "Dude" J. Larson Jr., age 78 of Alborn, Minnesota passed away Saturday, January 18, 2025, at his home with his family by his side. He was born on April 12, 1946, to Raymond J. Sr. and Gloria Larson. Dude grew up in the Meadowlands and throughout his childhood he was active in playing all types of sports in school. He graduated from Tiovola-Meadowlands High School in 1964. Following his graduation, he attended electrical school and enlisted in the United States Army on January 11, 1967. Dude was honorably discharged on December 18, 1968. He then worked as a Journeyman and lived most of his life in the log home he built on Eier Lake. Dude enjoyed fishing, mowing his lawn, playing cards (cribbage was his favorite), and collecting antique cars. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Dude will be deeply missed.
Dude is survived by his loving wife, Jane Preston of Alborn, MN; his children, Raymond III, Sue Ann (Larson) VanGuilder, and Jim (Linsey) Larson; grandchildren, Jesse, Nolan, Bailey, Darren, and William; brother, John (Lois) Larson; sisters, Linda (Merle) Hills and Dawn (Joe) Johnson; Jane's children, Rich and Tina; and his favorite dogs, Sven and Ole. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandmother, Christine Bellecourt.
