Raymond Warren Murphy, 91 of Midland, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on July 4th, 2025, at his home. He was born on July 26th, 1933, in Kansas City, MO to the late Paul and Ethel (Getz) Murphy.
Raymond graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in Chemical Engineering. He was employed with The Dow Chemical Company for thirty-six years before retiring in 1993.
Raymond enjoyed Tae Kwon Do and sports of all kinds especially football. He also cherished spending time with family and friends.
Raymond is survived by his wife; Sandra Murphy, daughters; Sandi Carter, Patricia (Russell) Blair, Susan (Mark) Sabourin, son; Michael (Diann) Murphy, stepchildren; Rick (Michelle) Sugar, Steve Sugar, Julie Sugar, seven grandsons, five great grandsons and one great granddaughter.
He is preceded in death by his daughter Pammy Jo Murphy.
A cremation has taken place per his wishes and no services are planned for this time.
In lieu of flowers those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Toni & Trish House in his honor.
