Ray was a wonderful father-in- law. He loved and lived his life for his family. I was always in awe of how much he loved Joy; still holding her hand after 63 years of marriage. I will miss his sense of humor and his hardy hugs!! We love you Ray

I love you Dad! You brought us all great joy! You appreciated God's creation deeply from details of flowers and birds (well, everything) ~ to your love for animals and babies and people with special needs ~ you were always amazed by the details of babies feet and toes ... you were in awe like a child experiencing it for the first time; and verbally expressive to share your heart. You were so warm and available to everyone! You radiated love and kindness and were greatly enjoyed. by everyone who had an opportunity to meet or know you. You were a gentleman and a protector. Good at heart ALWAYS. I love you for who you were ~ you were the very best dad a girl could ever have. I will miss being called "doll" and your embraces that could have damn near crushed my bones... lol! I could go on and on and how remarkably funny you were. We laughed non stop and you were so quick witted surprising people continually with your dry sense of humor. We all carry that trait and see you in all of us. We are all amazing humans because of you and we all have different gifts and talents and deeply love you in our own unique way. You were the gadget guy who could fix anything and taught me so much about how to fix a car and do routine maintenance or an emergency repair. You were always available emotionally; spiritually and physically. I remember one of your first hospitilations and remember being shocked to realize you were a mere mortal. haha. I remember as a child never feeling afraid when you were home - when you were there - I was SAFE. You were GOLDEN. I know God has you ... you knew Him. I know that. And I am so thankful that you are with your family. I know how happy you must be. Praise God! I am at peace and respect you . you were always good at decision making. I respect you for being of sound mind and of sound heart and your decency and moral compass. I love you Dad! I can't wait to see you (and tom ) again .. but you are gonna have to wait until I am at least 100 because I have the family right in front of me that I have to soak up loving until then. In Christ there are no goodbyes so Ill see you in a blink of an eye!! <3

I couldn't have asked for a better dad. My dad was always there for me and always took care of his family and friends. "Bumpa Ray" was an amazing grandpa with all his grandchildren. It breaks my heart knowing that he will not get to know or play with my sons daughter or joke around or text my kids. Although my dad was 91, he lived a good life and always made people smile with his quick witted personality. Dad you left a whole in my heart and hopefully time will heal me. Dad, I know you always took care of mom but there's no need to worry, we will take care of her for you. I look forward to one day seeing your smiling face and laughing again with you.

Love and miss you dad,
Mike
