Raymond C. Resendez of Seguin entered eternal life on April 1, 2024, at the age of 86. Raymond was born February 11, 1938, to Vicente Resendez and Juanita Carranza Resendez. He and his wife, Kiyoko, have two sons.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Vicente Resendez Jr., Andrew C. Resendez, and Daniel C. Resendez, sisters; Cruzita Resendez, Santos Resendez, and Herminia Navarro.
He is survived by his wife Kiyoko Resendez, sons Raymond Resendez and wife Elizabeth, Kenneth Resendez and wife Perla, grandchildren Alyanna Resendez and Eric Catlin. He is also survived by his brothers; Gilbert Resendez and wife Ysabel, Antonio Resendez, and Roger Resendez and wife Paulina, sisters; Alicia Tovar, Isabel Morales and husband George, Amelia Reyes, Olga Melton, and Elena Morales and husband Richard as well as numerous nephews, nieces, and other loving family members.
Visitation will be held at Palmer Mortuary on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. with Deacon Nick Carrillo officiating.
Visitation will continue at Palmer Mortuary on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 beginning at 8:00 a.m. and a Prayer Service lead by Deacon Nick Carrillo will begin at 10:00 a.m. A funeral procession will depart once services conclude and interment with Military Honors will follow at Santo Tomas Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be George Morales Ill, Henry Morales Jr., Gilbert Resendez Jr., Raymond Resendez, Luis R. Reyes, and Ray Tovar.
The family would like to thank, Dr. Antonio Flores, Dr. Ronnie Garcia, and all of the staff at Guadalupe Regional Medical Center for their compassionate care.
