Reatha M. LaFave, age 90, of Roscommon, died on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at her home in the presence and comfort of her family.

Reatha was born August 14, 1934, in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Lawrence A. Geyman and Erma M. Albain. Reatha married Earl R. LaFave on February 11, 1956, in Grosse Pointe, Michigan. Reatha enjoyed flower gardening, crafts and playing cards, aerobic swim class along with visiting family and friends. She will be remembered for her generosity to many and love for her family along with great conversations and the best bowl of soup!

Reatha will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is survived by her beloved husband, Earl of 69 years; daughter, Lauri (Tom) Saunders of Stanwood, Michigan; sons: David (Julie) LaFave of Armada, Michigan, and Robert (Darlin) LaFave of Boyne City; grandchildren: Tonya Walker, Jonathon LaFave, Nicholas (Jennifer) Lorenz, Timothy (Lorna) Lorenz, Julieanna (Maryann) Sherrod, Kori Saunders, Keli Saunders, Alex Saunders, Chelsea Saunders, Liam LaFave, Taylor Thompson, Nicholas Dodge; great-grandchildren: Iain, Issac, Zyla, Coral, Violet, Michaela, Emma, Riley, Charlotte, Emilia, Logan, Eli, Everett, Esther; great-great grandchild, Sylvia, born June 28, 2025; sister, Linda (Reed) Breight of Manchester, Michigan; brother, Larry (Bin-Dee) Geyman of Williams, Arizona; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Reatha is preceded in death by her parents; beloved daughter, Nancy (Lee) Walker; sister, Jean (Ben) Kraut; brother, John "Bud" Geyman.

Family and friends will gather for a Memorial Mass at 11:00 AM, on Saturday, August 9, 2025, with an hour of gathering prior to the Mass, at St. Michael Catholic Church, 104 North 6th Street, Roscommon, Michigan 48653.

If so desired, the family prefers memorial contributions be made in Reatha's name to The Charlevoix Humane Society.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Wagner and Walsh Funeral Directors, Roscommon.
