Reba J. Keith, age 88 years, of Whitley City, Kentucky died Monday, January 13, 2025 at the Baptist Health of Corbin in Corbin, Kentucky.

She was born September 9, 1936 the daughter of the late Finley and Mae (King) Bryant. Reba had been a social worker for McCreary County Head Start, worked for the McCreary County Museum, and the oldest living member of the Sandhill United Baptist Church. Her enjoyments were cooking and reading books.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Keith; son, Kenneth Dean Keith; brother, Carl Bryant; and sister, Freida Staley.

Survivors include her sons, Danny Melton and wife, Debbi of Eubank, Kentucky and David “Charlie” Keith and wife, Leann of Whitley City, Kentucky; sisters, Barbara “Peggy” Strunk and Nina Tucker both of Whitley City, Kentucky; grandchildren, Heather Goldson (Evan), Danielle Groce (Tracey), Beau Melton, Ethan Keith, and Deana Keith; great grandchildren, Hunter Goldson, Davin Melton, Tyler Barron, and Lexi Melton; and one great-great grandchild, Baylor Melton.

Funeral services will be held 1pm Saturday, January 18, 2025 at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Rufus Hughes and Bro. Tim Perry officiating. Burial to follow in the Flat Rock Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 6pm Friday, January 17, 2025 at the Funeral Home.
