Rebecca Susan Banning, a beacon of love and faith, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on April 4, 1950, to Bulfa and Ella Marie Troxel, Susan's life was a testament to the power of compassion, dedication, and unwavering belief.
Susan's journey through life was shared with her beloved husband, Dr. Paul Banning, who was her rock and the love of her life. Together, they built a family founded on love and faith. She was a nurturing mother to three wonderful children, Kevin (Jennifer), Kent (Kelly), and Kayren Banning, who will carry forward her legacy of kindness and strength. Susan's joy was multiplied by her adoring grandchildren, Bella, Emma, Harper, Pierce, Lilly, Graydon, and Ella, who will deeply miss their grandmother's warmth and guidance.
Though she was preceded in death by her parents, her loving brother James Troxel, and her cherished granddaughter Adelyn Banning, Susan's memory will live on through her surviving family, including her brother Curt Troxel (Pam), who will continue to honor her spirit in their lives.
Susan's professional life was marked by her exceptional service as a Registered Nurse. Her foundation in her faith in Christ guided her through a fulfilling career in clinical care and research. She found great satisfaction in working alongside her husband in their medical practice, where her skill and compassion touched the lives of countless individuals.
Beyond her professional achievements, Susan's interests were a reflection of her love for her family and her faith. She was an avid seamstress and crocheter, often creating beautiful clothing for her grandchildren, which they will treasure as reminders of her talent and thoughtfulness. Her hobbies were more than pastimes; they were acts of love, woven into the fabric of her family's memories.
Above all, Susan loved her family and the Lord with all her heart. Her life was a living example of Christian values in action, and her influence will continue to be felt by all who were blessed to know her. Her unwavering faith, her dedication to her family, and her commitment to caring for others will be the enduring legacy of Rebecca Susan Banning.
As we bid farewell to Susan, we celebrate a life beautifully lived and a soul that has undoubtedly ascended to a place of eternal peace and joy. Her memory will be cherished and her presence sorely missed, but the love she shared will forever be a guiding light for her family and all who had the privilege of crossing paths with her.
