Rebecca "Becky" Joyce Baker, born on September 11, 1972, in Tifton, Georgia, passed away tragically in a vehicle accident on June 16, 2025. She was a cherished member of her community and a beloved figure to family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, June 21, 2025 in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with Rev. Buck Morgan officiating. Interment will follow at Oakridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:30 P.M. at the funeral home before the service.
Josh Baker, Bradley Griffin, Lou Picolo, Kayden Casey, Stephen Griffin and Ryan McBrayer will serve as pallbearers.
Becky devoted her professional life to the merchandising teams at Lowe's and Home Depot, where her passion for her work shone through. Education was an important part of her life; she attended Tift County High School, where she laid the foundation for her future endeavors.
Family was the center of Becky’s life. She is survived by her loving parents, Ben and Joyce Tyson of Tifton, and her children, Rebecca Baker, Josh Baker, and Bradley Griffin. Her grandchildren—Karson Baker, Zeke Casey, Chance Baker, Lily Gurley, Kayden Casey, and Camden Baker—were a source of immense joy in her life. Becky was particularly proud to be their grandmother and enjoyed sharing special moments with them. She also leaves behind her brother Stephen Griffin (Sonja) and sisters Lesia Jackson & Steve, Tina Hunt and Jeff, and Jill McKay and Sonny.
Becky created lasting memories filled with laughter and love, as she deeply valued her time spent with family, especially while traveling with her daughter. She enjoyed her special niece, Masy Rae Kennedy making memories that will last a lifetime. Her enthusiasm for life and making people laugh was infectious. She had a fondness for yard sales and flea markets, often bringing home treasures that she would distribute among friends and family, ensuring that everyone felt special.
Additionally, she was a proud member of Heritage Church, where she found community and fellowship. Her spirit and dedication to her loved ones will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.
Becky is preceded in death by her sister, Melody Griffin Kennedy, and her grandchildren, Kali Baker and Candler Baker. Their memories will forever remain in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
Becky's legacy will live on through the love she imparted and the laughter she shared, touching the lives of all who were fortunate to know her.
