Her mother, Nancy Dowdy, preceded her in death. Jean is now reunited with her husband Buddy Cornelius.
Jean was the blessed mother of four boys: Raymond Bishop, Randy Bishop (Kim) and Burk Bishop (April). A grandmother to Nathan, Burkley and Natalee. Son, Danny Bishop was waiting for her when she crossed over to heaven.
Left to cherish her memories are siblings: Elaine Womack, Ben Gregory and Carolyn Upton of Florida, John Gregory of Tennessee. You could always smell something delicious cooking in Jean's kitchen! She could whip up a great meal in no time. Everyone loved her collard greens. She also took great pride maintaining a spotless home.
She may be gone but will never be forgotten.
A service will be held 12pm, Friday, May 23, 2025 at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5pm till 7pm, Thursday, May 22, 2025. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com
