Becky Freeman - a loving wife, mom, "Nana," sister, and friend - went home to be with the Lord on September 30, 2025, in Cumming, Georgia. Born March 20, 1958, in Indianapolis, Indiana, Becky lived a life of devotion, hard work, and big-hearted love.

Becky spent more than 40 years caring for others as a nurse after earning her license from Brenau University in 1979. Most of those years were with Saint Joseph's Hospital, where her compassion, skill, and gentle spirit made a difference to countless patients and families.

She was the heart of her family - always present for her boys. Whether it was scout trips, football, soccer, baseball, or theatre performances, Becky was there, cheering loudest and loving hardest. She was famous for the extravagant birthday cakes she made, often staying up all night to get them just right. Later, becoming "Nana" was one of her greatest joys. She adored her grandchildren and showed up for everything she could - games, performances, milestones, and everyday moments.

Another joy of Becky's life was horses. She started riding as a young girl, and after raising her sons, she returned to her passion for equestrian hunter/jumper riding. Her horse, Gambler, was her pride and joy - a true companion who brought her so much happiness. Becky also had a playful side and a love for little joys. She adored hedgehogs and collected anything with a hedgehog on it - a small passion that always made her smile and became a sweet signature of who she was.

Becky leaves behind her husband and best friend, Marshall Freeman; son Tripp (Sharon) Freeman; daughter-in-law Audrey Freeman; and the grandchildren she loved so deeply - Jesus, Janee, Juan, Owen, Nolan, and Evie. She is also survived by her brother Tim (Kit) Brown; sisters Mary Ann (Jim) McBride and Mid (John) Henderson; sisters-in-law Kim (Phil) McLamore and Terri (Keith) Ellis; and a big, loving family of nieces and nephews including Amy, Timmy, Kevin, Jenny, Shannon, Liann, Becca, Gordon, April, and Stephanie.

She is reunited in heaven with her son Brandon Freeman; sister Kate Alqatrani; parents Barbara and Jim Brown; in-laws Kenneth and Geraldine Freeman; and grandparents William and Bertha Brown and William and Ann Humphrey.

Becky will be remembered for her fierce love, her selfless care, her passion for nursing and horses, and the way she always showed up for her family. Her life was a gift, and her love will be felt forever.

A celebration of Becky's life will be held on Friday, October 10, 2025, at McDonald and Son Funeral Home in Cumming, Georgia. Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM, with a service at 1:00 PM and graveside gathering to follow.
