Rebecca Truxell Obituary
She was born September 21, 1959, in Staunton, Virginia, and was the daughter of Jean Powell Cook Hatter and the late Samuel Reginald Hatter. A devoted spouse, mother, grandmother, sister, and daughter, Rebecca's life was a testament to love, selflessness and unwavering commitment to her family and community. Rebecca's life was a shining example of dedication to her loved ones and her community. Her kindness, strength and the profound impacts she made will be felt for generations to come. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Rebecca is survived by her loving husband, Richard Truxell whom she married on September 4, 1994; her children, Ricky Truslow (Sommer) and Jen Erianne (Kayla); and her grandchildren, Austin Truslow (Marissa), Veronnica Anninos (Bryan), Emily Truslow, Hayden Watts, and Journey Erianne. She also leaves behind her siblings, Dennis Hatter (LuAnne), Dean Hatter (Crystal), Daniel Hatter (Tina), Sharon Kiser (Randy) and Marcy Nester (Raymond); as well as her cherished mother, Jean Hatter.
A service to honor Rebecca's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 25th, 2025, at Fairview Christian Church in Hood, Virginia. Following the service, all are invited to a gathering at the church to celebrate her remarkable life and legacy.
