Rebecca Elizabeth Whitaker was born in Oklahoma City on August 8, 1989, to Steven and Carolyn Whitaker. On February 22, 2024, Becky passed away from this life far too soon. She was 34 years old.
Left to treasure her memory are her loving wife, Aaron Austin, and stepdaughters Lilah, and Lillyan; her parents, mother Carolyn Kent-Whitaker of Oklahoma City, and father Steve Whitaker and stepmother Lois of Newcastle; five sisters, Tristan Whitaker and spouse Lee of Newcastle, Stephanie Laverty of Moore, Bella Whitaker, Tomi Whitaker, and Mili Whitaker, all of Newcastle; as well as five brothers, John Baugh of California, Brent Baugh of Oklahoma City, Justin Whitaker and his wife Andrea, Zavier Whitaker, and Zander Whitaker, all of Newcastle.
Becky graduated from U.S. Grant High School with the Class of 2007. A hard-working person from the time she was very young, she became an auto body technician by trade who spent the last ten years of her career with Carsmart. With a smile that could brighten any room, Becky was warm, outgoing, and funny, often making silly jokes to make everyone laugh. Known by many for her talent and creativity, Becky spent much of her time drawing and creating tattoo art. She also enjoyed BMX bikes, working on cars, and listening to music in her free time.
More than anything, Becky enjoyed being with the people she loved. Her greatest love was ultimately reserved for her family, and they were truly everything to her. She and Aaron created such fond memories of exploring the outdoors, going for long car rides, and listening to music together. She adored taking Lilah skating and loved watching YouTube videos with Lillyan. She also loved spoiling all six of her dogs: Noel, Diggity, Ziggy, Honeysuckle, Meiko, and Astro.
As we reflect on the life of Becky Whitaker, let us remember her for the beautiful art she created, the many songs she sang, and most importantly, the deep love and devotion she so gracefully bestowed upon her family and friends. Though gone from this life far too soon, we will find peace in knowing that Becky has just begun her next great eternal adventure. Her beautiful soul will remain forever in our hearts.
