Reginald Moore Glatt, affectionately known as Reggie, age 69, of New Johnsonville, TN, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 24, 2024, in New Johnsonville, TN. He was born on November 18, 1955, in Memphis, TN to the late Agnes Moore Glatt and Hugo Glatt. As a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, Reginald served his country with honor and distinction. His commitment to service shaped his character and instilled in him a profound sense of respect that he carried with him throughout his life. Music played a significant role in his life, especially his love for classic rock, often filling his home with the sounds of the past. Reggie also had a passion for the arts, finding solace and joy in painting where he expressed himself through vibrant colors. Family meant everything to Reginald. He took immense pleasure in gathering around the dinner table with loved ones, sharing laughter, stories, and home-cooked meals that created bonds stronger than any other. These moments were sacred to him, showcasing his profound appreciation for the simple joys life has to offer. Reggie loved to tell jokes and make people laugh. He will be remembered for his kind heart, his generous spirit, and his unwavering dedication to those he loved. He leaves behind a legacy of love and light that will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Kimberly Baldwin of New Johnsonville, TN, Kristie Smith (Mike) of Bartlett, TN. Reginald Glatt (LeAnn) of Paris, TN and Rose Holloway (Brandon) of New Johnsonville, TN; grandchildren, Jacob, Anna, Briar, Johnathan, Tyler, Ativa, Hunter, Abigail, Joseph, Kobe, Braeden, Kaleb, Levi, Allison, Alexis, Aleeah, Grace and Jason; great grandchildren, Jocelynn, Autumn, Brantley and Hunter; brother, Edward Glatt (Donna); sister-in-law, Linda Glatt and son-in-law, Joseph Story.
Along with his parents, Reggie is preceded in death by his daughter, Emily Story; brother, Victor Glatt and the mother of his children, Cynthia Ann Gideon.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly, from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at 1:00 P.M.
