Remon Tesfai Yohannes

"Brilliant, joyful, genuine, and fiercely loyal, our dear Remon Tesfai Yohannes,
30 of Phoenix, Arizona, transitioned to his heavenly home at 11: 11 pm on
October 15th, 2023. He was born the youngest boy out of 8 children, to Tesfai
Yohannes Haggmana and Azeb Lion Gebremeskal on February 2nd, 1993, in
Santa Rosa, California at Community Hospital. Remon comes from a large
loving Eritrean family and understood the sacrifices that his parents made to
not only get his family to the United States but to persevere and raise their
family throughout the years.
He was the first of his siblings to be born in the States and his arrival not only
sparked joy but also hope. His arrival brought laughter, pranks, and love
beyond measure. From pranks and funny voices or skits, Remon always found
ways to make his siblings and parents laugh. He was a lover of all genres of
music and would share great songs, artists, and live performances with his
family.
Remon was a loyal and committed son, brother, uncle, and friend who truly
valued relationships and ensured that he was purposeful with the time he spent
with his family and friends. He expressed his love in acts of service and words
of affirmation. You always knew that Remon loved you by the way he would
lift you up, celebrate your wins, and spend time with you. He would show his
love through cooking for his parents, landscaping with his brothers, and
finding hilarious shows to recommend to his siblings (and of course make us
watch over and over until we got the jokes.)
We truly lost one of God's children, and while it may be difficult to mourn the
loss of a loved one, our Remon 's purpose on this earth was more meaningful
than we can hope to understand. A true empath his entire life, Remon lived a
life of service to others. From the compassion he showed to those whom some
would deem unworthy, to his unwavering commitment to those he loved,
Remon left an indelible mark on his family and community.
Remon is survived by his parents Tesfai Yohannes Haggmana and Azeb Lion
Gebremeskal; his sisters Adulis, Meley, and Wintana; his brothers Medhane,
Edmon, and Samson; his loving nephew Semere and countless cousins and
extended family. He will be laid to rest alongside his grandmother Ethiopia and
other members of the Eritrean community. at Greenwood Memorial Lawn &
Cemetery on October 23rd, 2023."
