René Palomo entered into eternal life on December 7, 2024. René was born on October 21, 1959, in Santiago, Chile to René J. Palomo and Gloria Maturana Palomo, who preceded him in death.
He came to the United States when he was ten years old and became a citizen at age 18. When he was in middle school, he was chosen to represent his country of Chile on the USS Constitution. He was a persistent honor roll student, consistently took accelerated courses, and graduated from Beverly High School. Upon graduation, René became a skilled car mechanic and machinist. He eventually earned the title of "Foreman" at Boston Machine Works in Lynn, Massachusetts, where he worked for many years mastering the trade, successfully building and repairing countless machines.
René is survived by his wife, Connie Palomo, currently residing in Rhode Island and formerly of Beverly, Massachusetts; his sons Bert (Cherie) of Massachusetts, Eric (Monica) of California, Paul (Abby) of Arizona, Dominic (Jen) of Rhode Island, René Jr., " Palomito," (Lakeisha) of Massachusetts; his grandchildren, Brooke, Ethan, and Emma, all of Massachusetts, Calvin and Dexter, both of Arizona, and René III and Roman, both of Massachusetts. René also leaves behind his best friend of over 40 years, Brian Foley, with whom he shared many fond memories; and his fur babies, Roy and Sam, that he loved very much. René's daughter, Lilliana, preceded him in death earlier this year.
Visitation & Funeral Services for Rene, to which family and friends are respectfully invited, will be held in the Berarducci Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, 185 Spring Street, Woonsocket, RI, on Saturday December 14, 2024, from 3:00 to 5:00p.m.
