Harrelson Funeral and Cremation ServicesRenee B. Wright, age 71, of Ellenboro, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.
Renee was born Wednesday, October 21, 1953 in Cleveland County to the late James Blanton and Jurell Bryant Blanton. She was a graduate of Crest High School, class of 1972. Renee worked for Fast Foods, Watts Regulator and Autumn Lanes Bowling. She was a dedicated worker and an asset to each company. Most of all Renee enjoyed serving the Lord at her church. Her life’s passion was caring for children of all backgrounds. She loved each child with God’s special love, and they loved her dearly.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammie Sipes; granddaughter, Tyra Poteet; great grandson, Colton Blaine Dobbins and siblings, Brenda Bryant, Wayne Blanton and Ernest Blanton.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband of twenty-one years, Ted Wright; children, Dawn Henderson (Chris) of Forest City, Dustin Sipes of Rutherfordton, Nikki Murray of Ellenboro, Grady Wright (Summer) of Ellenboro, Jessica Wright of Morganton and Amanda Smith (Charlie) of Morganton; brother, Michael Blanton (Debbie) of Lawndale; thirty grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 pm on Saturday, October 11th at the Caroleen Congregational Holiness Church with Reverend Tim Whiteside and Reverend Tim Evans officiating. Interment will follow at the Hopewell Community Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
