Renee Halperin

Renee Lynn Halperin, long time resident of Nyack, NY, beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away at the age of 89, on October 14, 2024, in Bridgeport, CT.
Renee Halperin was born on July 17, 1935 to Miriam and Nathan Beifel, in Philadelphia, PA. Renee attended Overbrook High School, and the University of Pennsylvania, earning a degree in Education. She began a career as a teacher, but shortly after, married Melvin Halperin in 1958, and became a full time homemaker.
In 1984, she began working for the Town of Nyack, later becoming the Court Clerk of Nyack, and served for 30 years as a well respected Town employee.
Renee Halperin is predeceased by her late husband, Melvin Halperin.
She is survived by her 3 children, Ted Halperin, Michael Halperin, and Jennifer Rosenberg, her 8 grandchildren, Scott Halperin, Evan Halperin, David Halperin, Jake Halperin, Zack Halperin, Callie Halperin, Max Rosenberg, and Alex Rosenberg, and 1 great-grandchild, Noa Halperin.
Funeral services will be held at Cedar Park Cemetery, 735 Forest Ave, Paramus, NJ 07652, at 2PM, October 15, 2024.
