Renetta A. Unger (née Nawrocki), age 82, a resident of Naperville, IL since 2020, formerly of Chicago and Tinley Park, IL, passed away on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at her home. She was born November 1, 1942, in Chicago.
Beloved wife of the late Louis M. Unger, whom she married October 19, 1963 and who preceded her in death on November 14, 2018, loving mother of Robert (Erick) Unger of Aurora, IL, devoted daughter of the late Edward and Florence (nee Kubiak) Nawrocki, dear sister of Barbara (the late Theodore) Sofos of Naperville and Virginia (Greg) McCambridge of Downers Grove, IL, sister-in-law of the late Fred (Wanda) Unger, fond aunt, great-aunt, cousin and friend of many.
A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025, 9:00-11:00 AM at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill Street, Naperville, IL 60540.
A celebration of Renetta's life will follow Saturday, 11:00 AM in the funeral home.
Future inurnment: Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
