Renette "Rene" M. Burry, age 79 of Concord, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2025. She was born on July 26, 1946 in St. Johnsbury, VT and moved to Geneva when she was 4 years old.
Rene was a 1966 graduate of Geneva High School. She moved to Painesville in 1967 and lived also in the Mentor and Concord areas. Rene worked at DeNora Tech in Chardon for over 30 years as an inside sales administrator and fully retired in 2007. Rene loved to camp, golf, quilt, paint, garden, sew, play mahjong, and especially enjoyed her time spent with her family and friends. Rene also liked to feed and watch the wild birds. For the past few years, Rene enjoyed Diamond Art. She was a member of the FOE (Eagles) in Andover and a member of the Painesville Elks Lodge.
Rene is survived by her husband, John K. Burry, Jr; children, Nadine (Don) Nichols, Shannon (Bob) Blank, Amanda (Todd) Allen, and Jay (Malissa) Burry; 11 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter; and sister, Marilyn (Frank) Taylor.
Rene is preceded in death by her parents, Rene` and Merle Fortin; siblings, Eugene Fortin, Georgette Bates, Madalyn Adams, and Diane Kuhn.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 11, 2025 from 4-7pm at Johnson Funeral Home, 368 Mentor Ave., Painesville, Ohio 44077. The funeral service will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025 at 11:00am at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Concord Cemetery.
