Renona Corbell Ewing, age 62, of Northport, Alabama, died July 11, 2024 in Northport, Alabama. Services will be 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at Magnolia Chapel North with Bro. Randy Pate officiating. Burial will follow in the Ewing Family Cemetery with Magnolia Chapel North directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services (11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.) at Magnolia Chapel North.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Billy and Syble Corbell; and the greatest in-laws, Anna Marie and Joe Ewing, Jo Ann Ewing.

Mama leaves behind to cherish her memory, our dad, Rusty Ewing of 36 years; daughter, Kelsie Ewing Franklin (Parker Franklin of 16 years); son, Kody Ewing; and the little loves of her life, grandsons, Bo William Franklin and Russ Walker Franklin; sister, Donna Kernop; other family members, Peggy and Foster Abernathy, Patty and Tommy Gregory, David and Nobie Ewing, numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.

Mama graduated from Holt High School, attended college, and had a successful career. She worked at the bank, a nursing home, River Gas, and medically retired from Cardiology Associates as the office manager – being a boss to her own daughter and countless others. She would always tell you what she thought and loved with her entire heart. She loved God 1st, our daddy, her daughter and son, but most importantly her grandsons, Bo and Russ. She always told Bo, “I love you a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck forever and ever and ever". We are all so broken by her being taken too soon, but we know that she is fully healed…no more suffering from the disease that stole her from us. Sarcoidosis took everything from her, but she still pushed on, which is where we all get our strength. She loved all animals, all breeds of dogs, chickens, cows, hummingbirds, and most importantly cardinals. Mama had some good friends, but her best friend, her daughter, Kelsie was the closest. Mama wrote a book and will soon be published. (These were two of her goals.) She taught us all to have big dreams and work for them. She instilled in us: Christ, serving Jesus, prayer, clinging to the cross, and trusting in Jesus. Mama was the strongest person on this Earth; and we know without question we will meet her at Heaven’s gates. Mama, you will never be forgotten; and we can’t wait to get to Heaven to spend eternity with you. We love you – the “mostest.”

Pallbearers will be Clay Rigsby, Barry Marquis, Kevin Findley, Blake Ballenger, Todd Hudson, John Hayworth, Hunter Elmore, Clay Madison, and Randy Harland.

Honorary pallbearers are employees of Hunt Refining Company, Wiley Fire Dept., Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office, Amanda Burns, Mom’s best friend, Robin Waid, Dr. Warren Holley and Sonja, Randy and Kim Harland, Mrs. Linda Fields, Mrs. Debbie Kendrick, Dalton and April Lancaster, and Pam Burns.
