June Arrowood Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, Memorial Park, and Crematory on Dec. 18, 2025.
June Haynes Arrowood was born on March the 9th, 1946 in Oakman, AL to the late James Doyle Haynes and Selena P. Haynes and went on to her reward on December the 16th, 2025. Although June was born in Walker County, she was adamant that she was raised in Tuscaloosa. She was the second child out of four, with her older brother Horace Haynes, younger sister Becky (Haynes) Beiro, and youngest brother Ray Haynes (d.2024). She attended and graduated from Holt High School, and shortly thereafter was married to her best friend of over 62 years, Harold Arrowood of Ohio at the ages of 17 and 21.
Together, Harold and June have been known by all as a source of encouragement, goodwill, and good humor. They have provided guidance, friendship, and acted as mentors to numerous generations of Christians and young families, first as part of the Central church of Christ, and later on as a part of the Northwood church of Christ.
June is survived by her husband Harold, and their three sons: James (Heidi) Arrowood, Jarett (Melody) Arrowood, and Jeff (Rhonda) Arrowood. Her legacy is also carried on by five grandsons and 5 granddaughters: Jake Arrowood, Austin Arrowood, Logan Arrowood and Ashley Arrowood, Ethan Arrowood, Coy Arrowood, Josie Arrowood, Sarah Arrowood Horton, Selena Williams, and Nora Garner, as well as 7 great grandchildren and counting. Her memory will be treasured by a host of Community friends and members of her church family.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 22, 2025, at Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel with Seth Mauldin officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park.
Jake Arrowood, Ethan Arrowood, Logan Arrowood, Austin Arrowood, Coy Arrowood, Josh Haynes, and Chris Haynes will all serve as pallbearers.

I am so sorry to hear about Miss June. I bought my house in Moundville from her in 2020. I still live in it. I have spoken to her once or twice since then and, she came by to see the house once at Christmas time after I did some remodel. She was a sweet lady. I am so sorry for your loss. Thoughts and prayers with you all during this difficult time.
