Reverend Carroll Ethan Pahl, age 92, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at Brookhaven Retirement Community in Brookville. 

He was the son of Ethan and Wilma (Duncan) Pahl, born on March 6, 1932 in Merrill, Wisconsin. 

Carroll was preceded in death by his three brothers, Lowell Pahl, Deane Pahl, and Daren Pahl; and by his wife of 65 years, Evelyn (Schultz) Pahl. 

He is survived by his four sons, David (Kelly) Pahl of Gillette, Wyoming, Douglas Pahl of Laura, Ohio. Daniel (Melissa) Pahl of Lewisburg, Ohio, and Darin (Catherine Veith) Pahl of Norwalk, Wisconsin. These sons gave him nine grandchildren, Cassandra Ward (Tyler Harbolt), Mariah Pahl (Seth Armstrong), Geoffrey Pahl, Jonathan Pahl, Nathaniel (Jessica) Pahl, Stephanie (Eric) Blundell, Joshua (Chelsea) Pahl, Branden (Kimberly) Pahl, and Elaine Cook. They gave him 16 great- grandchildren.

Carroll worked many different places including the post office and the Kellogg corporation, before the Lord called him to be a Pastor. He served many churches in Wisconsin and Ohio, along with being a missionary to the Potawatomi Indians in Crandon, Wisconsin. Carroll also served honorably in the United States Army during the Korean War. 

A celebration of his life will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, September 29, 2024, at Brookville Grace Brethren Church with Pastors Branden Pahl & Eric Knight officiating. 

Carroll will be laid to rest at Dayton National Cemetery at a later date.
