Rex H. McKibbin, 87, of Camden passed away Saturday, January 18, 2025 at the Hillsdale County Medical Care Facility. He was born on November 19, 1937 in Hillsdale County to Wesley and Naomi (Crampton) McKibbin. Rex married Joy (Gratz) on March 7, 1955 and she survives.
Rex graduated from Camden Frontier High School. He retired from the Frontier phone company in Camden as a Lineman. Rex was an all around gun enthusiast. He was a member of the National Muzzleloader Rifle Association and the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed gunsmithing, hunting, fishing and woodworking.
In addition to his wife, Joy, Rex is survived by two daughters, Karen (Frank) Walker of Waterloo, Indiana, Paula (Bob) Monroe of Montgomery; one son, Mark (Diana) McKibbin of Montgomery; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
Rex was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Margaret Grace McKibbin and two brothers, Clarence Lee McKibbin and Ray Eddie McKibbin.
Funeral services for Rex H. McKibbin will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025 at 2PM at the Montgomery United Methodist Church with Pastor Brian Comiskey officiating. Interment will follow in Berg Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4-7 PM at the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Reading.
Memorial contributions are suggested to The Parkinson's Foundation or the Hillsdale County Humane Society.
