Rex B. Mullins

Rex B. Mullins, 70-year-old Vinita resident passed on November 4, 2025, after a very fast and courageous battle with cancer.
Rex was born August 16, 1955, in Fort Knox, Kentucky. He served for 4 years in the US Navy as an Electrical Mate 3, stationed in Norfolk, VA. He worked for Eagle Pitcher, Industries, (Umicore) as a Maintenance Electrician for 45 years. He volunteered as an Assistant Scout leader in his younger years with Boys Scouts, troop 50.
Rex retired in 2022 and continued his love of building cabinets and traveling with his wife Debbie. Rex could always be found working on cabinets or on a beach vacation soaking up the sun with his wife and/or travel tribe.
Rex was a man that always stepped to the end of the line, always putting others before him, he loved serving others at Alive Church, he truly was a servant of God. He always had a way of making people feel special, even if it was just with his smile.
Rex is preceded in death by his parents, Rodolph and Ella Nora Mullins; brothers, Curtis Wade Mullins, Stephen Mullins; and his first wife, Patti Hensley Mullins.
Surviving family includes, wife, Debbie Mason of the home; son, Aaron Mullins and wife Chloe, granddaughters, Avery and Hadley all of Miami, OK; daughter, Tracie and husband Aaron Rion, granddaughter, Kenzie all of Oswego, KS; bonus daughter, Whitney and husband Wesley Sweetwood, grandchildren, Maxlyn, Brexlyn and Huxton all of Vinita, OK; sisters, Donna Howlett and husband Danny of Richland, MO, Lucretia Lynn Upton and husband Steve of St. Robert, MO, Wilma Place and husband Ron of Inverness, FL; brother, Barry Mullins and wife Mary of Richland, MO; bonus mother, Yvonne Mullins of Parkville, MO; bonus siblings, Colleen Harp and husband Ron of Springfield, MO, David Minnehan and wife Shelia of Rogersville, MO, Kelly Eberline of Caro MI, Shana Long and husband Berry, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends who he considered as family.
Donations may be made to the Vinita Day Center in remembrance of Rex Mullins.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Alive Church in Vinita, OK with Pastor Robert Sanders officiating.
