Reynold Schmidt, age 90, of Bonduel, passed away in Appleton on Wednesday, July 16, 2025. Reynold was born in Bonduel on September 30, 1934, son of the late Alvin and Gladys (Busch) Schmidt. Reynold grew up on the family farm and graduated from Bonduel High School in 1953. Following graduation Reynold enlisted in the United States Army and proudly served his country as a tank driver until receiving his honorable discharge. On May 11, 1968, he married Marlene J. Giese in Gillett. After 56 years of marriage, Marlene preceded him in death on May 31, 2024. Reynold's faith was an important part of his life, and he was an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bonduel. In his free time, he enjoyed drinking Sun Drop and rooting for the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers. He was very proud to have been in attendance and survived the famous Ice Bowl.

Reynold is survived by: a brother, Dale (Karen) Schmidt; brother-in-law, Al Jacobs; sister-in-law, Merce Schmidt; and nieces and nephews, Dina (Jeff) Nelson, Sherry (fiancé Mike Johnson) Boreson, Steve (Tina) Schmidt, Todd (Vicki) Schmidt, Tim (Jen) Schmidt, Melissa (Tyler) Zimmerman, and Kristin (Randy) Kohlstedt. He is further survived by numerous great nieces, great nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He is preceded in death by: his wife, Marlene; his parents; two brothers, Donald Schmidt and Victor Schmidt; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harry and Louise Giese; brothers-in-law, Marvin Giese and Leonard Giese; and sisters-in-law, Shirley Jacobs and Marjoryann Giese.

A funeral service for Reynold will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bonduel with Rev. Mark Palmer officiating. Military Honors will be conducted by the Bonduel American Legion. Burial will be in the church Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 9:30am until the time of the service.
