Alice Eleanor Rozmiarek, 90, of Seymour, WI passed away peacefully on Monday, July 7, 2025, surrounded by her family. The daughter of Frank and Anna (Swiecichowski) Kaminecki was born on September 10, 1934.
Mom graduated from Bonduel High School in 1952. On June 17, 1953, she married dad, Arnold Joseph Rozmiarek, at St. Stanislaus Church in Hofa Park, WI. They made their home on a farm in Rose Lawn, Town of Maple Grove, Seymour, WI until 1986. They then sold the farm and moved to the City of Seymour. Mom worked at Good Shepherd Nursing Home until she retired at 80. In between, she worked selling real estate.
Mom loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren (GG's). Many of their art pictures are proudly displayed in her home: photos on the fridge and Christmas ornaments on the tree. Always in supply were Ramen Noodles, Twix, Kit Kats, Peanut Butter cups, and ice cream. Mom didn't like to stay by herself after dad passed, especially when there was a thunderstorm, but there was always one of the grandkids willing to stay the night.
Mom's faith was her priority. Always church, confession, trips to Shrines, including First Saturdays at the Shrine in Champion. Daily praying the rosary, the Divine Mercy Chaplet, and listening to Relevant Radio and EWTN. This lady is definitely looking down upon us and, if she isn't, none of us are getting there! Even though she lived in Seymour, she went to St. Stanislaus Church in Hofa Park as much as was possible, where she was constantly joking and teasing with Fr. Jim Esser. If she wasn't at St. Stanislaus she went to St. Johns in Seymour, where she enjoyed Fr. Dass. She'd say: "he is such a nice, holy man." She also enjoyed her visits from our cousin, Fr. Gerald Foley. They were usually able to get together once a year and they would catch up on each other's lives.
Her many trips with Dale, and sometimes cousins, to Rome, New York, Florida, and also cruises brought her much enjoyment. They made visits to many religious shrines, from Wisconsin all the way down to Mother Angelica's in Alabama. These trips were always made with her sister, Mayme, whose son, Jerry Nowak, served as the chauffeur on many of those trips.
Last year she celebrated her 90th birthday and we threw her a big birthday party. It started with Mass at St. Stanislaus officiated by none other than Fr. Jim Esser, followed by food and dancing outside at the Hofa Park Tavern and a Polka Band "Of Course", was Chad Przybylski "Of Course."
Mom is proudly survived by her four adopted children: Dale Rozmiarek, Seymour (New York), Dori (Joey) Bluma, Seymour, Dyan (David) Gwidt, Pulaski, and Dean (Becky) Rozmiarek, Howard; grandchildren: Mallorie (Jason) Siewert, Olivia Bluma (special friend Jordan Leisgang), Joeley Bluma (special friend Connor Van Asten), Zachary Bluma, Emma (Ben) Powers, Madelynn Gwidt, Sydney Gwidt, Landon Gwidt, Lydia Gwidt, Emerson Gwidt, Mariah Rozmiarek (special friend, Javier Bedolla), and Max Rozmiarek; mom's GG;s: Archie Siewert, Kinsleigh Siewert, Lucille Siewert, Bernadette Siewert, Paisley Bluma-Abel, Cooper Leisgang and Mason Bluma. She is further survived by many dearly loved nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arnie Rozmiarek; granddaughter, Danielle Bluma; brother Ronnie Kaminecki, sisters: Emily (John) Richter, Mayme (Leonard) Nowak, and Clara (John) Lukasik; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Mike and Anna Rozmiarek; sisters-in-law: Genevieve (Andrew) Smith, Lorraine (Edward) Ratajczyk, Irene (Michael) Smith, Marie (Raymond) Ratajczyk, and brother-in-law, Roger (Helen) Rozmiarek.
Friends and family are invited to gather at Marnocha Funeral Home, 186 E Pulaski St., Pulaski, on Sunday July 13, from 4-8 p.m. with a parish wake service beginning at 8 p.m. Visitation will continue at St. Stanislaus Church, W1888 Hofa Park Rd., Seymour on Monday, from 9-11a.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. with Fr. Jim Esser, O.F.M., presiding and concelebrated by Fr. Gerald Foley, Fr. James Vacco, O.F.M, Fr. Finian Zaucha, O.F.M., and Fr. Sengole Dass, O.Praem.
