Rhett Morlang, 34, of Brule, Nebraska, died April 23, 2023 in Brule.
He was born September 11, 1988 in Valentine, NE, son of Roger and Mickey Morlang. The family moved to the Brady area in June of 2002. He graduated from Brady High School with the class of 2007.
Rhett was gifted with the biggest heart on the planet and he used that heart for every person he cared about. He knew no stranger and could befriend anyone he would meet. He loved everybody, his family and friends, his horses and dogs. He very much enjoyed his role as uncle and he made instant friends with all kids. He was a cowboy, a horse and dog whisperer. He enjoyed the many hours he spent with his horses and dogs. His heart and his passions will be carried on for generations to come because of his kindness. He will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He is survived by his parents, Mickey and Roger Morlang of Brady, NE. Older brother Heath and wife Kristen, their children Paxten, Dagney, Klaira, and Zalie of Whitman, NE. Younger sister Shannon and her daughter Leigh Ann of Hyannis, NE. Also many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Phillip and Betsy Morlang of Norden, NE and Adolph and Vinette Tenopir of Cedar Bluffs, NE.
Visitation with the family present will be held at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, Gothenburg, Nebraska; Sunday, April 30, 2023, 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm with a Rosary to follow at 7:00 pm.
Services will be held at St Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, North Platte, NE, Monday, May 1, 2023 at 11:00 am, with Fr. Rand Langhorst and Fr. Mark Seiker officiating.
Interment will follow in the Gothenburg Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to the St. Jude's or the Gothenburg Rodeo Club.
