In loving memory of Rhoda J. McAtavey: November 25, 1950- March 9, 2025
Rhoda Jean (Bascom) McAtavey of Rochester, NH passed away with her loving family by her side on March 9, 2025.
She was born in 1950 in Bangor, Maine. Daughter of Ervin and Dora (Cole) Bascom. Rhoda attended Dover High School, Class of 1969 and went onto work at the local Merchants National Bank for several years. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, memories shared with her family and friends, time spent attending to her flower gardens and relaxing in her pool.
Rhoda is survived by her spouse John of 54 years, son Keith McAtavey and wife Shirley McAtavey, daughter Heather Fenderson and husband Ryan Fenderson and her grandchildren; Kaylee Curtis, Bryson and Colin Fenderson. Rhoda's sisters Debra Welch and Judith Bascom along with many nieces and nephews all of whom she loved dearly.
She was predeceased by her parents Ervin and Dora Bascom.
Rhoda will be remembered for her love, sense of humor and kindness that she gave to all who knew her.

So sorry to learn Rhoda has passed.
The gleam in her eyes always led to a smile or a laugh. The fond memories go back to Grammar school let alone Dover High and onwards. May her wonderful spirit carry on!

So very sorry for your loss, Rhoda was such a kind gentle lady. Always ready with a beautiful smile. I was a classmate of Rhoda´s, such fun times and memories we had. We would gather with other classmates occasionally and so enjoyed catching up and reminiscing. I will miss her joy terribly. May your memories keep you smiling during this difficult time of loss. RIP Rhoda.
