Rhonda Fleming Futch

 

Rhonda Fleming Futch, 58, of Leesburg, GA, passed away May 6, 2023 at Emory St. Joseph’s Hospital in Atlanta.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 6:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home.  Rev. Josh Posey will officiate.

Rhonda was born on October 9, 1964 in Athens, GA to William Ray Fleming and Nancy Shelnutt.  She grew up in Lee County, GA and graduated from Lee County High School in 1982 and received her degree from Bauder College. 

Rhonda was a successful businesswoman and the owner of Your Phone Lady.  She attended the First Baptist Church of Leesburg, was a member of the Lee County Chamber of Commerce and was a former member of the Leesburg City Council. Along with her busy schedule, Rhonda enjoyed traveling, walking, shopping, trips to the mountains and to the beach and being around her grandchildren more than anything.

Surviors include her husband, Hugh Futch, Leesburg, GA, her children, Clark Futch (Mallory), Crestview FL, Chelsea Hatcher (Byron), Columbia TN and Callie Futch Leesburg GA, her grandchildren, Hazel Mae Hatcher, Abel James Hardy, Jackson Perry and Caroline June Futch, her mother, Nancy Jones (B.W.) Dawson, GA, siblings, Tanya Butner (Bill) Honolulu, HI, Joe Fleming Gonzales, LA, Licia Langley (Jamie) Tallahassee, FL, Beth Back (Gordon) Leesburg, GA, 12 nieces and nephews and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews and her two favorite fury companions, her dogs, Scrappy and Frampton.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home.
