Rhonda Annette Leonard Young, 60, was welcomed to her eternal home by her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 8, 2025. Annette was born in Greensboro, North Carolina, on January 8, 1965, to the late Larry and Helen Leonard.
She graduated from Northeast Guilford High School and attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, with a degree in Business. She worked in the furniture, school, and non-profit communities.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Indian Trail where she enjoyed serving others and women's studies.
Annette was a woman of deep faith and gentle strength - a beautiful soul whose sweet spirit left a lasting impression on everyone blessed to know her. Her life was a reflection of grace, kindness, and unwavering love, quietly lived but deeply felt.
To be near Annette was to feel at peace. She had a way of making others feel seen, heard, and loved - not through grand gestures, but through her steady presence, her soft encouragement, and her heartfelt prayers, Her faith was the foundation of her life, guiding every step she took and every word she spoke.
One of the greatest joys in her life was finding and marrying Ken, the love of her life. They were married for over 13 years. Their love was rich, tender, and full of the kind of devotion that inspires others. Together, they built a life marked by shared faith, laughter, and simple, sacred joys.
Annette is survived by her loving husband, Ken Young, loving Uncles, Aunts, cousins, and one niece.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Aunt, Mrs. Nancy Newman.
