Rhonda Beth Tuttle, 51, of Laurel Bloomery, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2023, after a brief illness at the Johnson City Medical Center.

Rhonda was born on January 15, 1972, to Samuel and Jane (Loggins) Taylor in Johnson City, TN. She spent her childhood on the family farm.  She had compassion for all animals on the farm.  She attended Laurel Elementary School.  After Rhonda graduated from Johnson County High School in 1990, she studied nursing at the Tennessee College of Applied Technology.  She then went to work with her degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse. 

In 1991, Rhonda married the love of her life, Jack Tuttle.  They went on to have four children, Megan, Emily, Nick, and Zach in their 32 years of marriage.

In her spare time, Rhonda enjoyed watching her granddaughter Harper.  Rhonda was an avid reader, she also loved spending time with family, going on picnics, and traveling to the beach. She was a very giving and family-oriented person.

She was a member of Saint John’s United Methodist Church (now Bethel Community Church).  One of her favorite bible verses was Ecclesiastes, chapter three, verses one and two:

 A Time for Everything:

1. To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

 2. A time to be born, and a time to die;

Rhonda was predeceased in death by her father, Samuel S. Taylor of Laurel Bloomery and her older sister, Nancy Taylor Wilson of Garrett, Indiana

She is survived by her mother, Rebecca Jane Taylor; her husband Jack Tuttle; four children: Megan Tuttle of Asheville, North Carolina, Emily Tuttle (Sam Lovdahl) of Asheville, North Carolina, Nick Tuttle of Mountain City, Tennessee, and Zach Tuttle of Laurel Bloomery, Tennessee; granddaughter, Harper Grubb of Asheville, North Carolina; brother Brian, wife Heather Taylor; nephew, Owen and niece, Ava Taylor of Laurel Bloomery; aunt Janette Eastridge, and uncle, Eric and wife Debbie Taylor.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at Mountain City Funeral Home with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. with Tom Prater officiating. The graveside service and burial will follow the funeral at Acre Field Cemetery
