Rian Elizabeth Miller, 33, passed away in Louisville, Kentucky, on July 5, 2024. Rian was born on April 2, 1991, in Lexington, Kentucky, and grew up in Louisville, Kentucky, with her parents, younger sister, and brother.
From an early age, Rian was known for her love of animals. She was your typical "horse girl," running around on all fours at home as a horse and taking riding lessons. Rian also loved playing intense Barbie games with her sister and her aunts, Lindsay and Jenny, and riding her horses with her aunt Jeannie. She loved spending time with her family, especially on summer beach trips.
Rian attended Kentucky Country Day School for six years, graduating in 2009. Following high school, she attended cosmetology school and was known for her artistic abilities with hair and makeup. Rian was a member of Springdale Community Church.
Despite struggles later in life, Rian will be remembered for her spunky hair colors, elaborate tattoos, sarcastic sense of humor, horror movies, music, cooking, and affection for her dog, Cricket. Rian loved her family deeply and always had a way to make them laugh in unexpected moments.
Rian was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Gene Miller. Rian is survived by parents Shannon Keene (Steve) and David Miller, siblings Leah Wade (Thomas) and Noah Miller, grandparents Diane and Jamie Gibson, Carol Miller, and Charlie and Susie Clifton, aunts Lindsay Simmons, Jenny Gibson (Tim Kraemer), Andrea Miller, and Jeannie Miller, and cousins Callie Simmons and Will Simpson.
Visitation will be from 8:00am - 10:00am on Thursday, July 11, 2024 at Ratterman Brothers, East Louisville (12900 Shelbyville Road, Louisville, KY 40243) with a private memorial service.
