Richard was a loving father to Claire Kozar and Richard Borchers Jr. and a proud grandfather to Claire and Kevin Kozar's children, Owen and Eleanor. He will be deeply missed by his family, the friends he cherished, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Richard's professional journey began as a third-generation member of the Borchers family business at the Eagle Beef in Jersey City. His career flourished with dedication and leadership in the produce industry, where he made significant contributions as Vice President of Produce.
Outside of work, Richard was known for his positive outlook, love of fun, and passion for golf and card games. His hearty laugh and quick sense of humor made every gathering brighter and more memorable.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Tackle Kids Cancer ( https://www.tacklekidscancer.org/celebrate/ )a cause dear to Richard's heart.
