Richard Ray Brown

Richard Ray Brown, 60, of Oak Hill passed away on Monday, February 2, 2026 at his residence.

Born  August 19, 1965 in Webster Springs, WV he was the son of the late Frank and Willogene Hamrick Brown.

Richard was a proud 1983 graduate from Oak Hill High School and worked for Fed Ex as a driver and later in the office. In his leisure he enjoyed hunting, being outdoors, and most importantly loved being surrounded by his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Those left to cherish his wonderful memory include his loving sister, Patricia Brown; Aunt and uncle, Jimmy and Linda Collins; Aunt, Nancy Adkins and her children, Betty Adkins, David Adkins, and Randy Adkins; Uncle, Bob Hamrick; and uncle, Buddy Hamrick and his children, Laura Harrison, Annie Ahart, Andy Hamrick, and Lee Hamrick.

Funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at Tyree Funeral Home Chapel in Oak Hill with Pastor Roger Harding officiating. In keeping with his wishes following the service he will be cremated.

Friends may visit with the family from 5:30 pm until 7:00 PM at the funeral home in Oak Hill.
