Richard "Rick" Carroccia, age 62, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones. Richard was born on April 12, 1961, to the late Dante Carroccia and Maria Carroccia, in Cranston, RI. He married the love of his life, Beth, on October 6, 1984, and they were blessed with 38 years of marriage.
Rick's greatest achievement was building his family with his beloved wife and watching his children grow up. The pride and joy in his family hit its peak when he became "Poppy," with the addition of his two granddaughters, who he loved to spend time with and watch play. He will be remembered for being kind and genuine, and his true enjoyment of the beautiful life he worked so hard to build.
In his free time, he loved watching football (especially his Miami Dolphins), hockey and baseball, and talking about current events and cars. One thing he always looked forward to was planning menus and making his famous recipes for family gatherings. He was always thrilled to spend time and have conversations with everyone who paid a visit to his home.
He will be incredibly missed by all, and we are thankful for the time we had with a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend.
He is survived by his loving wife Beth Carroccia, his mother Maria Carroccia, his children, Lauren and her husband Matthew Orrico, Allie and her husband Rob Lavin, Adam Carroccia and his fiancé Bea Munoz, and Ross Carroccia and his wife Jessica, his grandchildren Olivia and Grace Orrico, and his siblings Dante Carroccia, Maria Manzotti, Valerie Carroccia and Donna Lancia.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, April 29 at 10 a.m. in St. George Maronite Church, on Cranston St. in Cranston. Visitation will be Friday, from 4-7 p.m. in the "WOODLAWN" Funeral Home at 600 Pontiac Avenue in Cranston.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704 Hagerstown, MD 21741.
