Maria C. Carroccia, 92, (Tiberi) passed away peacefully Sunday February 4, 2024 at West Shore Health Center. She was the loving wife of the late Dante Carroccia for 62 years. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Gaetano and Ursula (Salvatore) Tiberi. Formerly of Cranston, she also resided in Palm Bay, Florida for many years along with her husband.
Maria is survived by her four children: son Dante V. Carroccia and his wife Susan, Valerie Carroccia, Maria Manzotti and her husband David, Donna Lancia and her husband Frank and her daughter-in-law Beth Carroccia. She also leaves several great and great-great grandchildren. Maria was the sister of Sonny Tiberi, Bernard Tiberi, Richard Tiberi, Cynthia Lemoi and the late Girio and Joseph Tiberi. She was the beloved "Aunt Mary" to many nieces and nephews.
Maria cared for her husband "Poppy" so lovingly with tenderness and patience. She loved all of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly. She had the patience of a saint and always wore a smile. She believed in God and prayer. She never went anywhere empty-handed, she always brought "a little something". She loved to go out for lunch, loved her chocolate, especially "kisses" and was happy to go to any store to browse. She loved a nice outfit with a matching handbag! She loved the pool, casino and had many friends.

My aunt Mary was the all American mother. As a kid growing up I spent a lot of time at her home and sleep overs and she would always make sure that we had lunch and breakfast. Lunch was usually peanut butter and fluffernutter and soup. Breakfast was always great with the toast having peanut butter on it and whatever else she made with it. The last time I spoke with her she said to me Joey I´m going to be 90 and she was so excited. Auntie I´m going to miss you with all my heart. You have left me with so many good memories of my childhood. Rest in peace until we see each other again I love you
