Richard Alan Clark, age 71 passed away August 19th, 2025 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, Massachusetts, after a hard-fought battle with brain cancer. He was the son of the late Richard Ames Clark and Evelyn Heftye Clark of Lynn, MA.
Rick is survived by his beloved companion Connie Thober, his sister Joyce Patterson (Malcolm), his nephew David Patterson (Jennifer), his niece Amy Schorn (Mark), his grandnephew Skylar Patterson and grandniece Ava Schorn along with many cousins. He was pre-deceased by his adored dogs Riley, Scout and Jake.
Rick graduated from Lynn English High School in 1973, Newbury Junior College in 1975, and attended Bentley College. Prior to his retirement he was a custodian at the Spofford Pond Elementary School in Boxford, MA for 16 years. For many years, he was also a self-employed business owner who operated his own cleaning service.
Rick enjoyed bowling, bike riding and especially vacationing in Kennebunkport, ME and at Hood's Pond in Topsfield, MA. Rick had a passion for music and was a hardcore Grateful Dead "Dead Head". Rick was also an avid sports fan, attending many games of the Boston Red Sox, Bruins, Patriots and Celtics over the years.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, September 28th at 1:00pm at the First Congregational Church, 176 Main Street, Rowley, MA.
