Richard Elwyn Clewett, 39, of Caulfield, MO passed away December 13, 2023. He was born November 22, 1984 in Sacramento, CA to Wilbur and Darlean (Ester) Clewett.
Richard grew up in California and graduated from Lucerne Valley High School with the class of 2002. He joined the Navy in November of that year, proudly serving his country for four years. While enlisted, Richard worked in aviation and as a structure mechanic. After his honorable discharge, Richard moved to Caulfield, MO and began working as a welder and fabricator. He worked for Ozark Action in West Plains for five years as a crew leader, then went on to work at Timberland for the next seven years.
Richard was united in marriage to Savannah (Kilkenny) on November 9, 2019. From a young age, Richard always wanted a big family, which he got with his brothers & sisters. When he met Savannah, she gave him his own family. Richard was always a phone call away if you needed anything. He had a big heart and was always helping people. He loved to be working on anything, sitting still was not for him. He loved being outside, camping, fishing, cooking & spending time with family. He was a member of the Caulfield Fire Department who was loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife Savannah Clewett; children Braylynn, Harley & Lexi; two brothers Taz Clewett and Douglas Clewett; one sister Marian Chaney and husband Brian; nieces Lillianna & Fey, Natily, Rose, Raven, Abigail, Kristen & Seanna; nephews RJ & Lennard; great nephews Daemon, Oliver & Luka.
He was preceded in death by his parents Wilbur and Darlean Clewett; one sister Patience; one uncle Frank; and one aunt Joy.
Graveside service will be held Friday, December 15, 2023, at the Clewett Family Cemetery at 2 p.m. Darrell Haney to conduct officiate ceremony. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Homes, Inc., Gainesville, Missouri.
